Scott Ackman is a partner at Health Care Futures L.P. with 20 years of healthcare experience in managed care contracting, operations management and business development. Scott has served a variety of clients in various capacities related to provider compensation planning, medical group optimization, strategic and financial planning, payer positioning and physician – health system alignment.
Led medical group optimization planning for several facilities including a large, urban safety net facility.
Developed strategic plans for several large, integrated delivery system to address physician resource and programming development needs.
Led multiple engagements resulting in the acquisition of physician practices forming hospital-based groups. The work included considerations for organizational design, management model, and compensation.
Facilitated multiple provider compensation redesigns for health systems with up to 2,000 employed providers.
Developed business and strategic plans to support campus expansion for community and regional delivery systems.
Developed strategic and financial roadmap to support expansion of a large for-profit behavioral health provider.
Developed a payer positioning plan for a regional health system to support continued independence.
Prior to joining Health Care Futures, Scott served in a variety of clinical and managerial roles including provider relations manager for a national, commercial, insurer and regional accounts manager for a medical device provider. Scott received a Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from the University of North Dakota and a Master’s degree in Health Care Administration from the University of Minnesota.
Scott lives with his wife Andrea and four children in Minneapolis and enjoys a variety of outdoor activities including running, biking and fishing with his kids.
